Another Architecture Commission Secured - Steelhouse Lane, Birmingham

We’re pleased to share that Airey Miller Architecture has secured a new commission following the successful appointment to our Architectural Reviewer role at Forum House in St Albans for Bunnywell Homes, which remains under construction. We continue to deliver this role through to completion in August.

Acting as Reviewing Architect across RIBA Stages 3–5, we provided independent design oversight of the contractor’s proposals, scrutinising compliance, coordination and technical robustness, while identifying risks relating to statutory requirements, performance and constructability. Our role ensured alignment with the client brief and safeguarded quality through delivery, offering clear, documented advice and facilitating proactive resolution of design matters.

The success of this appointment has led to a further instruction on the client's Steelhouse Lane Birmingham development, reinforcing the growing importance of the Architectural Reviewer role in today’s regulatory landscape. As projects become more complex, independent architectural scrutiny is playing a key role in risk mitigation, compliance assurance and delivering better outcomes for clients. With our multidisciplinary expertise, Airey Miller continues to add value beyond traditional architectural services.

As the client reflected:

“Airey Miller Architecture have been of immense value to our project at Forum House. Their independent oversight, technical insight and proactive approach gave us confidence at every stage, and we are delighted to be continuing our relationship with them as increasingly key members of our professional team.”
