Appointed as One of Three Suppliers appointed to Homes England FRAEW Framework

The Cladding Safety Scheme, launched by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, aims to address fire safety risks associated with unsafe external wall systems on medium-rise buildings. The Cladding Safety Scheme expands the focus to medium-rise residential buildings (11-18m in height) with cladding-related fire risks. This scheme provides funding for the remediation or mitigation of these risks when a responsible developer cannot be identified, traced, or held accountable.

As part of the scheme, Airey Miller is one of 3 suppliers to Homes England for providing FRAEW (Fire Risk Assessment External Wall) Audits and one of 2 suppliers to produce FRAEW reports in accordance with PAS 9980 for the Cladding Safety Scheme. This means that Airey Miller assesses the fire safety risks associated with external wall systems and produces reports that contribute to the remediation efforts. As part of our role, we are continuing to collaborate with Homes England and the DLUHC on developing best practice in this area.

Airey Miller Surveys Limited have the necessary competence and skills and experience to support building owners to provide them with the most appropriate remediation advice to achieve the “proportionate” and Holistic approach to your fire risk assessment. Our fire and asset team consists of Fire engineers, commercial managers, quantity surveyors, building surveyors, design managers and clerk of works. With these disciplines, we are able to procure the remediation works and manage and monitor the works on site to completion.
