Talgarth Road, London, W14

This project contained three distinct issues, the first being the busy main road next to the site. Measures were put in place to protect operatives from the effects of vehicle pollution when working externally and Airey Miller ensured that the agreed air monitors were set up during construction, and recommended that masks be worn when working externally.

The second issue identified from due diligence surveys involved the discovery of WWII bomb damage. We recommended an unexploded ordnance report and suggested ways to considerably lower risk, such as re-using the existing piles on the site.

Thirdly, the site had suffered from fly tipping over many years; through investigations during the pre-contract phase ensured we could provide clear evidence for safe removal and obtain accurate costs for doing so.

Thanks to Airey Miller’s expertise the project was completed with no reportable accidents, incidents or near misses.
