Highbury Quadrant, London N5

Challenge: Working to secure a local authority site in direct competition through a deliverable cost plan.

Airey Miller worked closely with the client and architects to secure this site from the local authority vendor. As part of the bidding process, we undertook detailed due diligence work including complex party wall matters and supply chain consultation.

This enabled us to provide accurate cost planning services to assist our client to secure this opportunity. We also worked with sustainability and M&E consultants as part of our bid team. The scheme was procured through an EU process, using a two-stage tender and negotiations to ensure even better value and quality.

The scheme contained several sustainability requirements including extensive green roofs, cedar cladding, PVs and even communal garden areas with allotments.
