The client was experiencing viability difficulties on this project and through our experience of ‘Hemcrete’ we found a solution, which enabled additional sustainability funding through Department of Energy & Climate Change (DECC) worth £320,000.
‘Hemcrete’ – a carbon neutral building product is also a sustainable structural solution to meeting the requirements of the code for sustainable homes without the need for bolt-on technology.
The additional subsidy enabled the client to successfully meet the land price aspirations of the local authority vendor.
