Airey Miller was involved with this scheme from inception. Our primary objective was to assist the client in the bid for the disposal of a parcel of land from the local authority. We also acted as cost consultant, local authority liaison, and provided strategic value engineering advice.

Our role in this scheme was to:

  • Provide initial cost advice including fully detailed cost plans to allow the client to bid for the land.

  • Work with the team to formulate a successful bid document.

  • Provide advice on the decant process.

  • Investigate types of system build available and provide recommendations, to include life cycle costing, mortgageability and all statutory approvals.

  • Provide advice on the development agreement.

  • Chair weekly design team meetings and manage the process to planning submission.

  • Provide a separate liaison to answer all questions raised by the local authority on design and cost.

  • Work with the client’s contractor to value engineer and ensure deliverability of the price.
